What to do in the app instead

Explain that the MCP is for setting up the AI agent, then tour the areas it can't reach (contacts, lists, imports, calls, SMS campaigns, numbers, billing, statistics, integrations) and where each one lives in the app.

The Bigly MCP is built for setting up and tuning your AI agent. It deliberately doesn't touch your leads, your calling activity or your account's money and phone numbers. For everything below, use the app. Each item links to its step-by-step guide.

Before you start

  • If you're not sure whether something is covered, ask your assistant. It can only use the tools Bigly gives it, so it will tell you if there's no tool for that job.
  • See Using Bigly with your AI assistant for what the MCP can do.

A Claude conversation where the user asks to import a contact list and the assistant explains the Bigly MCP can't do that and points to the Import page in the app.

Contacts and lists

The MCP never reads or changes contact or lead data. Do these in the app:

Calls and calling

The assistant can show you what the AI agent would be told on a call without placing one. See Call context preview.

Phone numbers

Text messages, voicemail and blasts

The assistant can set up SMS agents that answer inbound texts.

AI agent screens not covered

Most of the AI agent can be set up through the MCP, but a few screens can't:

Statistics and reports

The MCP doesn't read your results or statistics. Use:

Calendars and landing pages

Integrations

The assistant can manage the webhooks your AI agent sends. Other integrations are set up in the app:

Account, team and billing

Compliance lists

The assistant can read and change some guard-rail settings, such as allowed zip codes and opt-out tags, and explain why calls are blocked. Bigly's built-in do-not-call and litigator checks themselves aren't something you change through the MCP. See Compliance overview and Calling hours.

Common questions

Will the MCP cover more areas later? Possibly. This page lists what isn't covered today.

Why can't it read my contacts? By design. Keeping lead data out of the MCP means your assistant never sees personal details about your contacts.
