Zapier
Connect Bigly to thousands of apps through Zapier, using an API key to send leads in and webhooks to send call results out.
Generating an API key, sending leads from another app into Bigly with a Zap, what else the Zapier connection can do, and sending AI call results back out to Zapier.
Zapier connects Bigly to apps that don't have a direct integration, such as form builders, spreadsheets and other CRMs. There are two directions:
- Into Bigly: a Zap sends new leads (and other actions) to Bigly using an API key.
- Out of Bigly: Bigly sends AI call results to a Zap using webhooks.
Before you start
- You need a Zapier account.
- You need permission to manage account settings in Bigly to create an API key.
Generate an API key
- Open the user menu (your initials, top right) and click API keys.
- Click + Generate.
- Give the key a name, such as zapier-leads.
- Click Generate key.
- Copy the key with the copy icon. Copy this key now. It won't be shown again.
User menu › API keys with a newly generated key shown in the green box, the copy icon highlighted, and the Copy this key now message below.
Keys made here only work with your Zapier connection and only for this Bigly account. See API keys for managing and deleting keys.
Send leads into Bigly from a Zap
- In Zapier, create a Zap with the trigger app you want, for example a new form submission.
- Add a Bigly action. Connect your Bigly account with the API key you just created.
- Map the trigger's fields (name, phone, email and so on) to the Bigly contact fields.
- Test the step, then turn the Zap on.
If you'd rather use Zapier's generic Webhooks by Zapier action, follow Lead webhooks for the address and format.
What else the Zapier connection can do
With the same key, a Zap can:
| Type | What it can do |
|---|---|
| Actions | Create a contact, send a text, send an email, create a meeting, and mark a contact as Do Not Call or converted. |
| Triggers | Pick up new contacts, calls, text messages, emails and today's meetings. |
Triggers check for new items regularly and pick up the most recent ones. They aren't designed for exporting all your history. For that, use Reports and exports.
Send AI call results to Zapier
To send each AI call's outcome to a Zap, use a Catch Hook in Zapier and add its URL in AI › Webhooks. See Webhooks.
Troubleshooting
Zapier says the key is unauthorized. Check you copied the whole key. Keys are tied to one Bigly account, so a key from another account won't work. Generate a new key if needed.
Leads are rejected as already in the system. Bigly doesn't create duplicate contacts. The lead matches an existing contact by phone or email.
