Google Calendar
Link your Google calendars to your Bigly availabilities so meetings stay in sync and you're never double-booked.
Connecting a Google account, matching each Google calendar to a Bigly availability, running a manual sync, and disconnecting calendars and the account.
The Google integration links your Google calendars to your Bigly availabilities. Each team member connects their own Google account. Once a Google calendar is linked to an availability:
- Events on that Google calendar appear in Bigly, and changes made in Google update automatically.
- Meetings deleted in Bigly are removed from Google Calendar too.
Before you start
- Create the availability you want to link. See Availability.
- Sign in to Bigly as the user whose Google calendar you're connecting.
Connect your Google account
- Open the user menu (your initials, top right) and click Integrations.
- On the Google tile, click Connect.
- Sign in to Google and allow access to your calendars.
- You return to Integrations. Click Options on the Google tile.
Link a Google calendar to an availability
The options screen lists each calendar in your Google account.
- Find the Google calendar you want to link.
- Choose a Bigly availability in its Availability: dropdown.
- Click Connect next to it.
If you click Connect without choosing an availability, Bigly shows Please select availability.
Integration Options Google listing two Google calendars, one linked to a Bigly availability with Disconnect and Sync buttons, the other with an Availability dropdown and a Connect button.
Sync now
New changes in Google arrive on their own. To pull everything in right away, for example just after connecting:
- Click Sync next to the linked calendar.
- Bigly imports events from now up to about two months ahead.
Disconnect
- To unlink one calendar, click Disconnect next to it.
- To remove the Google account completely, first disconnect every calendar, then click the Disconnect button at the bottom and confirm with Yes, Disable it!
If any calendar is still linked, Bigly shows Please disconnect all calendar before integration disconnect.
Troubleshooting
The Availability dropdown is greyed out. That calendar is already linked. Disconnect it first to choose a different availability.
An event made in Google isn't showing. Click Sync next to the calendar. Check you're looking at the right availability and user on the Main calendar.
Recurring events look incomplete. Recurring Google events are imported a few months ahead at a time. Later ones appear as time moves on.
