Connecting Claude and ChatGPT to Bigly

Open AI › Connect your AI agent, pick a client, add the connector in Claude or ChatGPT, sign in and choose the workspace, then generate a token for Claude Code and show the Connected apps and access token tables, including how to disconnect.

Before your AI assistant can work in Bigly, you connect it to your account once. Everything you need is on one screen in the app: AI › Connect your AI agent. It lists every supported assistant and gives you the exact steps, links and settings to copy for the one you pick.

There are two ways to connect, depending on the assistant:

AssistantHow it connects
ChatGPTYou sign in to Bigly and click Allow. No token needed.
Claude (web, desktop & mobile)You sign in to Bigly and click Allow. No token needed.
Claude Code, OpenAI Codex CLI, Cursor, VS Code / GitHub Copilot, Windsurf, Gemini CLI, Any other MCP clientYou generate an access token in Bigly and paste it into the assistant's settings.

Before you start

  • The feature must be turned on for your account. If it isn't, the Connect your AI agent tab says the MCP integration isn't enabled yet. Contact support to turn it on.
  • You need permission to use the MCP. The account owner and users with an admin role have it by default. Managers, agents and viewers don't. If the tab says you don't have permission to manage access tokens, ask an admin. See Team members.
  • Each connection is tied to you and to one workspace. If you belong to several Bigly workspaces, connect each one separately.

Open the setup screen

  1. In the top navigation, click AI.
  2. In the left tab list, click Connect your AI agent.
  3. Under Set up your AI agent, click the button for your assistant, for example ChatGPT, Claude (web, desktop & mobile) or Claude Code.

The numbered steps below the buttons change to match the assistant you picked.

Connect Claude (web, desktop or mobile)

  1. On Connect your AI agent, pick Claude (web, desktop & mobile).
  2. Click Add to Claude. Claude opens with the connector name and server URL already filled in.
  3. In Claude, click Add, then Connect.
  4. A Bigly sign-in page opens. Sign in with your usual Bigly login.
  5. If you belong to more than one workspace, choose the one you want Claude to work in.
  6. Review the request and click Allow.

Claude can now use Bigly in your chats.

On a Claude Team or Enterprise plan, an Owner can click Add for my organization (Team/Enterprise Owners) instead. That adds the connector for the whole organization. Each member then clicks Connect in Claude and signs in with their own Bigly login.

You can also add it by hand in Claude under Customize › Connectors › Add custom connector. Copy the name and server URL shown on the Bigly setup screen.

Connect Claude Code or another token-based client

Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, Gemini CLI and other MCP clients connect with an access token instead of a sign-in.

  1. On Connect your AI agent, pick your client, for example Claude Code.
  2. In the token box, type a name you'll recognize later, for example my-laptop.
  3. Click Generate token. The token appears in a green box and is copied to your clipboard.
  4. Copy it somewhere safe now. It's shown only once.
  5. Follow the numbered step for your client. For Claude Code, copy the command shown and run it in the project folder where you want to use Bigly. For the others, copy the settings into the file named in the step. The token is already filled in.
  6. Check the connection. For Claude Code, run claude mcp list and look for the Bigly server in the list.

Treat the token like a password

Anyone with the token can change your AI setup. Don't share it or paste it into chats. If it leaks, revoke it (see below) and generate a new one.

The server URL

You don't need to type the server address yourself. The setup screen always shows the right one for your account:

  • Claude and ChatGPT use one shared Bigly address. You choose the workspace when you sign in.
  • Token-based clients use an address that includes your workspace, ending in /api/v2/mcp.

Start the guided setup

The last step on the setup screen, Start the guided setup, gives you a line to paste into your assistant. It loads Bigly's onboarding guide so the assistant asks you the right questions before changing anything. See Onboarding guide.

Ask your AI assistant

Read the Bigly onboarding guide and tell me what you need from me to set up our AI agent.

See and remove connections

The bottom of Connect your AI agent shows two tables.

Connected apps lists Claude, ChatGPT and other apps you connected by signing in, with App, Connected and Last used. To remove one:

  1. Click disconnect next to the app.
  2. Click Yes, disconnect it!

The app loses access to this workspace straight away. To use it again, connect it again.

Your access tokens lists the tokens you generated, with Name, Created and Last used. To remove one:

  1. Click revoke next to the token.
  2. Click Yes, revoke it!

Any assistant set up with that token stops working.

You can also remove a connection from inside Claude or ChatGPT, in their connector settings.

Common questions

The tab says the MCP integration isn't enabled. The feature is off for your account. Contact support.

The tab says I don't have permission. Your role doesn't include MCP access. Ask an admin to connect for you or to change your role.

The sign-in page says AI app connections aren't available. None of your workspaces allow you to use the MCP, either because it's off for the account or because your role doesn't include it.

I lost my token. Tokens can't be shown again. Revoke the old one and generate a new one.

Do I need to reconnect regularly? Claude and ChatGPT stay connected while you use them. If you remove the connection, lose MCP access, or leave the workspace, you'll need to connect again.

What can the assistant see? Only your AI setup: settings, prompts, intros, follow-ups, SMS agents, web calling and webhooks. It can't read your contacts, lists or call history. Passwords and secret keys come back hidden. See What the MCP doesn't cover.
