Let the assistant review your Bigly setup

Paste the Start the guided setup line from the Connect your AI agent tab, watch the assistant load the onboarding guide, answer its questions, and review its first preview.

Bigly's onboarding guide is a checklist your AI assistant reads before it touches your account. It tells the assistant how a working Bigly AI agent is put together, in what order to set it up, and which questions to ask you first. Your assistant can then review your current setup, tell you what's missing, and walk you through fixing it one preview at a time.

Use it when you first connect, and any time you want a second opinion on your setup.

Before you start

Start the guided setup

The easiest way is the line Bigly gives you on the setup screen.

  1. Go to AI › Connect your AI agent.
  2. Pick your assistant.
  3. Under Start the guided setup, click the copy icon.
  4. Paste it into your assistant and send it.

For Claude Code the line is a slash command, /mcp__bigly__onboard_tenant_ai. For Claude, ChatGPT and most other assistants it's a sentence asking the assistant to load the guide and ask you its questions before changing anything.

You can also ask in your own words:

Ask your AI assistant

Load the Bigly onboarding guide and follow it. Ask me the questions it lists before you change anything, and show me each preview before you apply it.

What the assistant checks

The guide works through your setup in this order, because later steps depend on earlier ones:

  1. Timezone and calling hours. If you've never set them, Bigly uses a default weekday window, which affects when calls, callbacks and transfers happen. The assistant asks for your real hours. See Calling hours.
  2. Voice and language model. Which voice the agent speaks with and which AI model it uses.
  3. Voice prompt and intros. The script and the opening lines. The guide checks that they fit together, for example that the voice prompt includes your intro and that each qualifying question in an intro is actually asked. See Voice prompt and Intros.
  4. After-hours intro. What the agent says when someone calls back outside your hours. The assistant offers to create one if it's missing.
  5. Follow-ups. Calls and texts that go out after the first call. See Follow-up sequences.
  6. Guard rails. Settings that stop unwanted calls, such as opt-out tags, hang-up limits, allowed zip codes and call caps.
  7. Other prerequisites. Anything else your account needs before calls can go out.
  8. A final check. The assistant previews what the agent would actually be told on a call, outbound and inbound, without placing one. See Call context preview.
  9. Turning AI calling on. This comes last, after everything else is in place, and needs your confirmation like any other change.

A Claude conversation where the assistant lists what's already configured and what's missing, such as calling hours not set and no after-hours intro, and asks the first question.

Web calling accounts

If your account uses only browser web calling and has no phone numbers, the guide skips the phone and compliance steps. Instead it covers the voice agent, prompt and intro, the websites allowed to show the call widget, the consent text, a test, switching web calling on, and adding the widget to your site. See Web calling.

Tips

  • Answer the questions. The guide tells the assistant which things have no safe default, such as your hours and your offer. Give real answers rather than letting it guess.
  • Do it in one sitting if you can. Each change is previewed and confirmed separately, so you can stop and come back later.
  • Ask for a review only. If you just want a health check, say so.

Common questions

My assistant started changing things without asking questions. It probably didn't load the guide. Paste the Start the guided setup line, or ask it to load the onboarding guide first. It still can't save anything without showing you a preview.

The slash command doesn't work in my assistant. Only some assistants support slash commands. Use the sentence version from the setup screen, or the request above.

Does the guide change over time? Yes. Bigly keeps its prompt-writing advice up to date, and your assistant gets the current version each time it loads the guide.
